I have been so terrible about keeping up on our blog. Life is so busy lately. All I have been focusing on this month is the big move. We only have eighteen days left until we have to be out of our house and we have so much to do. Next week David and I are driving up to Henderson to find a house, I am very excited for that. It'll will be nice to see where we are moving. And since I haven't been blogging I haven't been taking very many pictures. But I do have some cute moments that need to be documented before I forget about them. First off, I was able to put some pigtails in Maylee's hair. Oh my gosh it was so adorable... The kids and I have been spending a lot of time in the sun. My theory is, if I take them out in the sun and let them play, then they'll take great naps and I'll get some time to myself. And so far it has proven to be a great theory. Last week Jadie and I took the kids over to the club house by my parents house and spent a wonderful four hours playing in the pool and enjoying the sun. The kids had a blast. It's the perfect place for Dutch because it is so kid friendly. He can go any where in the pool that he wants because he can touch the bottom and he loves it. We played so hard that day. The kids slept so great. So great in fact that Dutch finally swam over to the side of the pool, laid his head down and fell asleep while in the pool, it was pretty funny. Unfortunately I did not bring my camera, so I didn't get any pictures from that day except for a few that I stole from Jadie's blog. (I hope you don't mind Jadie.) Dutch and Jackson playing... Jadie and I... Maylee using the lunch box as her purse... We had so much fun that day, that we went back the next day with Jenny and her kids, Savannah and Vanessa. It was a little bit windy and more chilly but we still manage to spend another four hours playing in the pool. We had such a blast. Dutch and Savannah just loved playing in the water and being able to roam around on their own. However after four hours and Maylee's attempt to drown, I was done. And with my great idea to tire my kids out, I didn't think about how tired I would be. I still feel like I haven't recovered. I lost all of my energy from being in the sun for so long. Maylee taking a break... All wet and needing a towel...
Dutch has learned a new trick. It took him two and a half years to learn, which is pretty good considering the fact that all of his friends have been doing it for some time now. So at least he is older. Although I still am not to excited about this one. He finally figured out how to climb into Maylee's crib. So I find him jumping in there quite often now.
Last weekend Maylee got the worst diaper rash that I have ever had to deal with. I felt so bad for the poor little girl. So I was keeping Vaseline and corn starch on it (which worked amazing) anyways while driving home from the Lazenby's the other night Maylee managed to grab the corn starch out of my purse. All of the sudden David says to me, Breezy I just want you to look at Maylee. And lastly, David and the kids made cookies last night. It was so funny to just sit back and watch. Watching David trying to make cookies with the two kids by himself is better than any TV show. It was hilarious.
Waiting for the cookies to be done...
