We have church at 1 o'clock this year. Which to be quite honest is horrible. Talli takes a nap every day at 12:30, and the more tired she gets the more hyper she gets, so sacrament meeting is a joke. Dutch and Maylee are also still pron to falling asleep, so the last few weeks they fall asleep during sacrament which is just long enough for them to wake up extra grumpy and not want to go to class. We try our hardest not to let them fall asleep now. And then we went get home from church we get dinner and then everyone gathers on my bed for a Disney movie. Usually the kids will fall asleep during the movie, if they managed to stay awake during church and some Sundays we can have them all in bed by 6:30 for the night. I love the Sundays when they go to bed at 6:30, it makes up for the terrible time at church.
Maylee is usually the last one to fall asleep, she always tries to hold out til the bitter end. But she just couldn't make it and now they're all gone. Then Daddy will carry them all to their beds, it's quite lovely.

I really love making my girls dresses. I got this teal fabric to make some curtains out of. Well I ended up hating the curtains so I turned them into dresses instead. Which I absolutely love, and so does Maylee. I have to hide this dress just so I can wash it. The most she worn it in a row was 6 days. As much as I love the dress, I do get tired of seeing it every day.

This is how Talli can be found most nights when I check on the kids before going to bed.
We even put her in footies pajamas and put a safety pin under the zipper so she can't unzip her jammas. But that doesn't stop her. She can some how manage to get her cute chubby little body out of just the neck hole. With the zipper still up and the safety pin still on. She's a little contortionists I tell ya!!!

Maylee Turns Four!!!

Time flies when you're a parent. I remember time dragging by as a kid, it seemed forever til summer break and then til Christmas. But as an adult time doesn't slow down the older I get, it just keeps speeding up. Especially watching my kids grow. It seems like just yesterday Maylee was this, now she is this, For her birthday we picked up her best friend Brookie and left Talli and Dutch with Celynda and we went out and had a girlie day. My mom came down to help celebrate Maylee's birthday as well. First we took the girls to McDonald's for lunch and let them eat and play. Then we took them to get manicures. Which Maylee and Brookie did so good sitting still and letting them paint their nails like big girls. After getting their nails done we headed over to see the Mermaid at Maylee's request. Before the Mermaid we stopped at Johnny Rocket's and got the girls milk shakes, then they got to watch the mermaid show. Afterwards we ended up back at Celynda's house were the kids played, we ate dinner, had cake and ice cream and opened presents. It was a really fun day celebrating Maylee. Some things about Maylee at the age of 4:
  • She still loves princess'
  • Her favorite color is blue (at least today)
  • Her favorite food is color pasta
  • She loves going to preschool
  • she is very dramatic, she can turn the water works on and off in a matter of seconds depending on what she needs
  • She loves to wear skirts and dresses, I've stopped buying shorts and pants for her because she just won't wear them
  • She is extremely girlie (which I love)
  • she loves to have her nails painted
  • Her favorite movies of late are all the Barbie movies
  • She loves to play "family" with Dutch
  • She is terrified of heights, she won't ride a bike, or swing and she is even scared to sit in the grocery cart
  • She is a true girl and LOVES chocolate the most, but sugar of any kind will do

We love our Maylee Girl! She drives us a little crazy with all her energy but she is still a ray of sunshine and there is not a lot that gets her down. She is one of the happiest people I know. We Love You Maylee!!!

Talli was sitting up on her dresser and found her skirt, although she thought it looked better as a tube top dress.
The kids got a Dr. Suess game from David's friends from school for Talli's first birthday. They love to play it and I love watching them wear the chefs' hat. They look so adorable.

Dutch still amazes me with his ability to fall asleep anywhere. I was folding laundry, my bed was covered in clothes, and he just curled up on them and out he went.

Davids cousin was in a tragic accident where he broke his neck in two places. After the accident the doctors informed the family that he will be a quadriplegic. We've been praying daily for his recovery and have already seen so many miracles. My kids don't know his but I have been so touched that they continue to remember Wesley in all there prayers with out any promptings from us. So when David's cousin announced that they were having Greene Day for Wesley we definitely joined in.

Talli hates to wear clothes, well its more a love/hate relationship. She loves it if its her sisters and she picked it out and put it on herself. If I help her she hates it, if I pick it out she hates. But she also LOVES to take off her clothes and the girl loves shoes. So we see this combination A LOT! ( And I didn't even put the pictures without the diaper!)

I left the house for 12 minutes to run to the store to pick up the main ingredient in the dinner I was cooking. David was snoozing on the bed after his long 24 hour shift. He knew I left and was sleep listening to the kids. All of the sudden the sound of water being poured woke him up. When we walked into the kitchen he stepped on wet carpet. They flooded the kitchen and the carpet right outside. Darn Kids!!! About 15 towels later it was finally dry.

The other night Talli had taken off her wet diaper and was trying to put another one on by herself, which wasn't working out. So Maylee jumped in to help. David and I laughed so hard watching Maylee attempt to diaper her sister who almost weighs as much as her. At one point she finally got the diaper on to realize it was backwards.

Grandpa's Visit

My Dad came to visit for the weekend. And we always love when Grandpa comes. He got into town Friday mid morning. We spent the day hanging out and playing games with Grandpa. Friday night my Dad watched the kids so that David and I could go on a date. So we headed to Outback Steak House to use our Christmas gift cards. David and I look forward to these gift cards every year. We always make sure to indulge and get the best steak. We love it every year. While we were gone Grandpa and the kids played and watched TV and got to stay up late. Pretty much the last 4 times my Dad has come up here we have been saying that we are going to go walk across the new bridge and it just wasn't happening. So we made sure that we walked the bridge this time. That thing is massive. It definitely makes me in awe of what people can build and do. At one point Dutch stood up on the railing and then put his knee on the top railing so he could see down. Lets just say we had three screaming adults. It really upset Dutch and embarrassed him, but oh my it almost gave me a heart attack. Our last outing with Grandpa we went to see the Mermaid. I've been wanting to take Maylee there forever but I just kept putting it off. So we finally ventured over to the Silverton Casino. Maylee was so amazed to watch the mermaid swim. The mermaid would blow kisses and wave to all the kids. Maylee was fascinated. Pretty sure her eyes never left that mermaid. Afterwards we walked around the Bass Pro Shop until the kids saw the quads and then they just played on those for a bit.
