Summer Happenings
We have been having a great summer so far. It's been a lot of fun having Daddy home every day. So far this summer we have...
Played at the splash pad
Played at the park,
The pool opened so we have gone swimming, despite the fact that it was 90 degrees out Maylee was super cold because of the darn wind.
Maylee got to go on a date all by herself with Daddy. And she picked out her own outfit. They had a great time, they went to a little girl boutique store with Princess dresses and walked through the pet store and Maylee got a new princess doll.
We went to a Movie Under the Stars that they put on here every weekend. It was a ton of fun, we watched Dawn of the Dinosaurs and Dutch was scared almost the entire time, Maylee loved it.
We've had some lazy baby days playing with this sweet girl,
David and I have been working out. It's been so much fun having a workout buddy.
And David loves to cook, so I have had my own personal chef for all three meals every day. I'm getting spoiled, it's going to be hard when he goes back to school.
Maylee has found a new place to sit and read books,
And Daddy has been practicing on his ukulele,

Prayer time has become one of my favorite things lately. Dutch always says the prayer and sometimes they are just hilarious and then sometimes they are super sweet. About a month ago Dutch said the closing prayer for Family Home Evening, I don't remember what he prayed for but I do remember that I laughed so hard that I cried for about five minutes. And now every night since we have come home from California this has been Dutch's prayer,
"Dear Heavenly Father, Please bless Savvy that she goes to sleep, and her Dad that he go to sleep and her mom that she go to sleep and her sister that she go to sleep, and Talli that she go to sleep and Mommy that she go to sleep and Daddy that he go to sleep and my two sisters that they go to sleep and Dutch that he go to sleep, in the name of Jesus Christ Amen."
Super repetitive, the same prayer for the last two weeks, but it changed a little since we went camping last weekend. Now he says...
"Dear Heavenly Father bless Savvy that she go to sleep, we see the fire, we watch a movie in the van, bless mommy she go to sleep and Daddy he go to sleep and my two sisters they go to sleep and Dutch he go to sleep, in the name of Jesus Christ Amen."
Every night David and I asked and then kind of beg Dutch to let someone else say the prayer but he is insistent that he does it. So hopefully something else exciting will happen and maybe other things can be blessed. His prayers are so sweet, we love that he enjoys praying so much.
