Wicked

About a week and a half ago I got the opportunity to go and see the play Wicked. It was absolutely amazing. I have wanted to see it for a few years but I just never got the chance. But my mother in law was able to get AMAZING tickets, we were in the very center, ninth row. It was incredible. When the play ended I didn't even want to leave, I just wanted to sit there and have them start it all over again. I seriously can't wait to see it again. I was able to go with all my sisters-in-law and we had such a great time.

We are officially moved out of our house and staying at my parents. We have been here at my parents house for about 3 weeks now. The big move up to Nevada will take place this Saturday. I can't believe that it is already here. It has gone by so fast. David and I drove up to Henderson last Monday found the place we wanted to rent and drove back Monday night. It was a long day, but short trip. We were in Henderson for about seven hours. But we are excited for the place we found. It actually wasn't what we had originally wanted but it was the last chance that we had to find a place. So we just took it. But it is super cute and we are excited. I can't believe we are actually moving out of state.
We've been having fun living at my parents house. Especially the kids. I don't think Maylee is going to like moving away. She is 100% a grandpa's girl. That little girl has Grandpa completely wrapped around her finger and she knows it and uses it to her advantage. But it's cute. I am so glad that my Dad loves my kids so much. One night Maylee was having a hard time falling asleep, which is weird for her, so David brought her out to the living room and my parents offered to keep her. They played with her and had such a great time. They let her stay up til almost eleven and then she got to sleep in their room. She is so spoiled here. And she loves it. Dutch is enjoying himself. My parents have a clubhouse near them and we get to use it. So the kids and I have gone swimming a few times. And it is like Disneyland for Dutch. He just goes up and down the slides, over and over and has such a blast. I am starting to get very sad to move away. I'm just having a lot of fun seeing my family everyday.
Random pictures from the past couple of weeks.
Maylee enjoys chasing Mimi's dogs and playing in their kennels.
Playing in the bubbles, while Mommy cleans the windows.
I bought Dutch a wooden train from Hobby Lobby and let him paint it. He loved it!

And even being at Mimi and Grandpas house, he can still sleep anywhere.

Maylee LOVES her cousin Neela and doesn't understand why we won't let her carry her around like she does her stuff animals.
Playing on the Elephant Dutch fell asleep on the living room floor and Maylee was trying everything she could think of to try and wake him up, so that he could play with her.

Carlsbad, New Mexico

Two weekends ago we had the opporunity to go to Carlsbad New Mexico for David's great grandparents 70th wedding anniversary. Here are some pictures from our trip. The first day we got there we went to the Carlsbad Caverns.
Waiting to go in the caves. Family Picture outside the caves.
Dutch and I walking down the swithbacks into the caves.
Dutch in the caves.
Maylee fell asleep, so her and I stayed at the little shop at the bottom of the caves while David and everybody else finished exploring. We took the kids on a little canoe ride.
Maylee was making me so nervous because she just kept wanting to touch the water but I kept thinking she was going to fall out. The kids got to have donuts for breakfast, Yum! Fourth of July... it was such an awesome show. Before the fireworks started we were having a huge lightening storm. I thought for sure that they were going to cancel the show. But they didn't, we watched the fireworks under a canopy because it was just pouring. And the coolest thing was the in between some fireworks, lightening would light up the entire sky. It was so neat. But this first picture shows me screaming because I crack of lightening happened right when the picture was snapped and it was right over our heads. It was crazy. This is us waiting for it to get dark so the show can start.
Trying very hard to get a family photo...

Poop Breath

Today my beautiful, sweet, cute, crazy kids did the most disgusting, nasty thing that I have had to deal with as a mom. I was outside getting a car for Dutch because him and Maylee were fighting over the one in the house. (It's a car that they sit on and ride around the house on, important to know.) While I was outside Maylee started crying. No surprise she has been super clingy all day. So I go back in and pick her up and it looked like she had been eating dirt. It was all around her mouth and on her hand. But when I took I closer look and smelled it I realized that it was poop. Yes POOP! so gross. At first I thought she must have found the dog poop outside. So Stormy comes over because I am freaking out and frantically washing Maylee's mouth out at the sink. Stormy was trying to figure out were it came from. Well here's what happened. Dutch had a blowout in his diaper and when he sat on the car it got all over the seat. That is where Maylee got into it and put it in her mouth from. Then before we realized what had happened Dutch had sat on the other car too. So Stormy changed Dutch's diaper while I was cleaning Maylee's mouth. Because she had the worst poop breath ever. It was so NASTY. Honestly it was the most disgusting thing I have yet to encounter with my children. But we got the cars clean, Dutch clean and Maylee no longer has poop breath, thank goodness.

So we have finally made part of our big move. We have moved out of our house but we are currently staying with my parents for the next couple of weeks before we move up to Henderson. Getting out of our house was the most chaotic thing in the whole world. It is amazing to me how much work it is just to move out of a house. Especially one you have been in for a couple of years, it makes for a lot more stuff that you have to sort through. And thankfully my parents were a huge help. If it weren't for them, I'm not sure we would have been able to get out on and time and with the house looking as good as it did. We are getting excited to move to Nevada the only problem is that we don't have a place to live yet. And we are hoping to be up there in less than three weeks. We went up there three weeks ago but nobody was willing to rent to us 5 1/2 weeks in advance, so we get to drive up there again on Monday and hope that we can fine something that we love within the price range we need.
