Maylee's favorite thing lately is to have pictures taken of herself. She really enjoys hamming it up for the camera.

Well this hasn't happened in awhile....

We had friends over from 10:30 to five. By the time they left he was wiped out. I made speghatti and when I walked into the kitchen ten minutes later I found him snoozing at the table. It's been a long time since he's fallen asleep while eating. It made me remember that he is still just little. Love my boy!

Christmas Eve I volunteered all my siblings to run relay style with me while I ran 13 miles, training for my full. We started off at the lakes, Noah, Tara and Spenser ran with me first. Spenser ran around both lakes and then hopped on a bike and stayed on that for the rest of the 13 miles, not the most comfortable seat for that long. Tara ran both lakes then went and got Seth and Noah finished the lakes and kept going with me until he ran a little under four miles and then hopped in the truck, where David took over running for him. David ran four miles with me and then he got back in the truck and Seth took over and ran the last five miles with me. And Stormy got on a bike and rode four miles with Spencer. The last mile has a pretty big hill in it and so at the bottom of the hill, Noah, Spenser and David waited for Seth and I to get there and then we all ran up that last hill and to the finish line together. It was so much fun. I had a blast running with my siblings and having them there. It was awesome and it might be the only time in my life that I can brag about this but after running 13 miles, I was still able to beat them all to the finish line, YAY for me!!! I never thought I would ever beat my brothers.

Christmas morning my kids were not nearly as excited as I had expected them to be. It was like after anticipating Christmas all month long they didn't know what to do. I like bouncing off the walls kind of excitement, they had more of their Dad's enthusiasm, excited but not great at showing it. But they were excited for their gifts. Maylee's favorite gift ended up being the play-doh she got in her stocking and Dutch's favorite gift ended up being a pair of toothless shoes (from how to train your dragon) that my mom got for him. Definitely not want I thought would be their favorite gifts but I'm glad that had a great Christmas. It's so fun to spoil my kids. For Talli we got her a box of Kleenex, I figured there was no point getting more toys for her when she already has a ton of hand-me-downs and I knew she would be more interested in the wrapping paper. But the Kleenex, now that was a hit with her. Talli enjoying her gift later in the day. Some extra highlights from our trip home. Grandma took us all out to lunch at Chic-fil-A. Dutch loved playing with his cousins and sitting at the table with just the boys. One day Maylee was playing in the room we were staying in and when I went to check on her she had dressed herself in... Talli's Pants! Just a tad too small, although I guess they make ok shorts. Daddy also took the kids on one last quad ride before Grandpa sold them. The kids had fun decorating cookies at Grandma's Christmas Party. I might be a tad bit bias, but this is one PRETTY little girl! Mimi and Talli spending some quality time together.

9 Months & 4 years

Talli had her nine month well check on Monday. She is now officially as old as the same length of time I was pregnant with her and lets just say her nine months went way faster then her nine months in the womb. She is a super healthy, well rounded, fun, easy going baby and I sure love her. She started crawling on her knees on the first Friday that we got to Arizona for our Christmas break and she also started pulling herself up while we were in Arizona. It was a busy time for her. She had been sleeping though the night like a pro up until we went to Arizona. The traveling really messes up her sleep schedule and she was up 3-4 times every night while we were there. But we have been trying to get her back into normal routine and now she's only waking up 1 time. She is a momma's girl for sure, more than my other two kids and I love, love, love it. She is happy to go to her Dad as long as she can't see me. She was eating like a champ, she was up to five jars of baby food a day, and then the teeth started coming, she has two teeth now and no appetite to use those two teeth, I can barely get her to eat two jars a day now. Although she has discovered she really likes big people food, so now I'm having to start grinding our food up for her. She loves to take a bath with Dutch and Maylee, last night while she was in the tub with them every time Maylee got close to her she would push her away, it was so funny to watch. She definitely doesn't love having Maylee in her face constantly and now that she knows how to push, she does it all the time. The girl hates her car seat and we finally had to turn her around so that David and I wouldn't drive off the road from going insane. She still doesn't love her car seat even facing forward but the screaming has gone down and few notches. She is a joy in all of our lives and regardless of how hard three kids has been for me, I'm madly in love with Talli and could not image having her in our family.

He did not want to go to the doctor at all, so we didn't get off to a good start and then when we told him he had to get shots, he was one unhappy kid. Lucky for me David got out of school early that day so he went with us. If he hadn't gone I really don't know how I would have been able to take care of two kids getting shots. They were both hysterical. David and the nurse had to pin Dutch down and he was screaming so loudly I know everyone in that huge office could hear him. It was just awful. At four years Dutch is...

Another Half Marathon

Yesterday my friend/running partner, Hailey and I ran a half marathon together in Boulder City. It was a lot of fun. A much harder course then my first one. This one was full of hills and elevation change. But it was fun to run with a buddy. Although I kind of felt like crap during the run. I only ran twice since Christmas, so I really wasn't feeling super ready for my race. It's unbelievable how quickly you lose you stamina of running if you take just two weeks off, a little depressing actually :). But I was pretty excited to run and see how well we could do. I'm probably going to reveal to much information right now, so if you don't want to know, stop reading now! About 15 minutes before Hailey picked me up Aunt Flo came to visit, not really the best way to start a race. Especially considering my history, I usually spend the first day down, doing nothing except cramping in non stop pain, pretty miserable day. So I actually felt like crap during the run. I really felt like I was holding Hailey back, which made me feel bad. The last three miles where pretty hard but we finished in still good time. I was pretty proud of our time, we did good and I know I gave it all I could yesterday. We actually finished 5 & 6th in our age group. Pretty cool, we have no idea how many people there were in our age group, for all we know there could have been only 6 people in our age group :) but still it sounds fun to say 5th & 6th. We came in with a chip time of 2:01:05 with an over all pace of 9:15. And I have to say, for as hard as that course was, I felt that our time was pretty awesome. Our friend Megan came to cheer us on at the finish line. It was fun to have her and Nolan there. Talli wasn't being the most cooperative when I crossed the finish line, she instantly wanted me to hold her and just kept crying. I knew she was hungry but I kept trying to put it off. First I offered her some water. Then I got some post finish food and offered her some yogurt, she liked that for a minute and then was done with it and kept crying. So finally I had to nurse her. Megan had just said to me, wow nursing right after running a race. Then this lady across the street yells out, "Wow look at her nursing right after running a half marathon, that's impressive." Kind of embarrassing since then everyone there turned to look at me while I was trying to discreetly nurse Talli. And I guess David thought it was funny because he decided to catch it on camera.

Christmas Part 2

Spenser and Stormy brought their Wii with them and David and I brought Craig's guitar hero equipment and we all spent a lot of time playing the Wii together. Stormy also brought her game Just Dance 2 and it was so much fun. We had a great time. This was one of my favorite Christmas'.

Dutch and Maylee had a great time playing with their cousins. Maylee and Neela really seem to be getting along pretty well now that Neela is getting older. It's fun to watch the girls play. Although Kade and Maylee are still besties. Christmas Eve we had our traditional Christmas Party with my Mom's family. We had fun visiting, playing Mr. & Mrs. Right, and playing the Wii. Mom and Stormy talked Aunt Nancy into playing Just Dance 2. It was hilarious to watch. Then we were able to talk David, Seth, Noah and Tommy into Dancing.

Then Stormy and I got my Dad to dance with us. The little kids had a blast playing as well. The great thing is they didn't know if they were winning or not, they just thought they were and had fun playing.

Christmas Part 1

We had a great time in Arizona this year celebrating Christmas. David got out of school at noon on Thursday and he wanted to leave that night. So we loaded up and headed to the Valley. We had a lot of fun while we were there and we definitely kept busy. We went to Pump It Up, a Christmas Present from Grandpa Greene, which we love. However I was lame and forgot my camera.

We had our annual Lazenby Christmas party.

Dutch and Maylee loved watching Santa Claus and listening to him tell stories.

The kids all got to sit on Santa's lap. Dutch was super talkative. He told Santa that he wanted the Polar Express for Christmas. Talli apparently didn't want anything for Christmas this year so she thought it would be appropriate to sleep while Santa held her this year. And she was not about to wake up. But still cute as can be. Maylee wasn't shy about sitting on Santa's lap either. She told Santa she wanted Tinkerbell for Christmas.

The kids enjoyed opening their gifts that Santa gave to them at the Party. I love this picture of Maylee because you can just see how excited she was to get this Repunzal Doll. Daddy and Dutch. Then it was time for our Annual Picture Pajama Party!

Then came time for the sibling gift exchange. It was suppose to be all home made gifts, or so we were told. We got Darren, so we made him home made fudge. Chase and Jessi got us. David had the box on him lap and when he opened it, there laid a... drum roll please.. Christmas Lobster! At least that's what they called it. I screamed and jumped away. It was definitely the funniest Christmas gift we have ever received. I have a feeling that everyone is going to try and top that next year. Talli getting into all the wrapping paper. After the party we headed back over to my parents house where we were staying that night. Seth, Tara, Stormy, Spenser and Noah were all there so they helped us cook that Lobster. Which I wanted no part in.
